Spring Academy and Competitive Programs

Academy serves as a developmental bridge between our Fall Rec program and the Competitive Spring program. Players born between 2012 - 2014 (2014 and 15's will be considered by coaches and club directors to determine if they are a good fit and ready for this more competitive program.
  • Academy Spring practice commitment: 2 practices per week beginning mid to late March through mid-June. 
  • Academy Friendly Games: Played on Saturdays beginning in mid-April; 2 games are played per day in the regional area including Billings, Laurel, Helena, Bozeman, Belgrade
  • Licensed Coaches
  • More competitive environment, still small-sided play.
  • Fee includes licensed coaches, uniforms, team league registration, field maintenance fees, and player insurance.
  • The player fee DOES NOT include registration in the optional state tournament at the end of the year, additional tournaments the team chooses to attend, or player swag (bags, jackets, sweatshirts etc) all are also optional and fees must be paid by the team. This can be done by team fundraising prior to or during the season.
  • Financial Assistance is available - click here to fill out the scholarship form. Partial Scholarships will be approved on a need basis.
Academy Fee: $300.00 for Spring Season. $100.00 due at registration; payments of $100.00 due March 1 and April 1, 2023.

U8 or 2015 birth year players will be considered as space allows. Please email maggie.tarr@gmail.com to get on the list rather than processing your Spring Registration. We will notify you the status in early to mid April.

Competitive Spring program is for players born 2004 - 2011.
  • Competitive Spring practice commitment: 2-3 practices per week beginning early - mid-March through mid-June.
  • Competitive League Games: begin Early April - Early June; 2 games each Saturday and played throughout the state including travel potentially to Miles City, Stevensville/Missoula, Kalispell, Great Falls, and locally-based Bozeman, Billings, Helena.
  • The fee includes licensed coaches, uniforms, team league registration, field maintenance fees, player insurance, and registration to the state tournament at the end of the year. Additional tournaments are optional and fees must be paid by the team.
  • The player fee DOES NOT include registration in additional tournaments the team chooses to attend, or player swag (bags, jackets, sweatshirts etc) all are also optional and fees must be paid by the team. This can be done by team fundraising prior to or during the season.

Volunteer Requirements: Livingston Youth Soccer Association is completely run by volunteers. For us to operate a successful spring season 10 volunteer hours are required per Academy/Competitive family. Hours can be committed by joining the board or competitive committee, coaching, lining fields, field hosting on game days, refereeing, working in the concession stand, team managing, fundraising etc.
The $100.00 Volunteer Refundable Deposit is due in the form of a check at your team meeting. This refundable deposit will be HELD and refunded to you after the completion of the required volunteer hours. 
If you absolutely do not have the time to give you may opt-out of the required hours by notifying the volunteer coordinator and LYSA will keep the deposit.
